National park to visit in eastern Madagascar: • Analamazaotra National Park • Mantadia National Park • Peyreiras Reserve
The EST circuit of Madagascar is one of the most beautiful circuits where there is the humid tropical forest with its diversity of fauna and flora. The East of Madagascar differs from other tourist regions of Madagascar by the presence of the largest “GIDRO” of Madagascar called “BABAKOTO” or “INDRI INDRI” and also the largest nocturnal lemur AYE-AYE.
Here are some animal species that can be seen in eastern Madagascar: Indri-Indri, Sifaka, Fulvus, Aye-aye, Microcebus (nocturnal lemur, or nocturnal exit) … In addition to lemurs, this eastern circuit also includes many reptiles, such as chameleons, crocodiles, geckos, Iroplatus… Many birds and medicinal plants are also found in eastern Madagascar
DAY 1: ANTANANARIVO When you arrive at the international airport, A member of our team Will welcome. You will then be taken to your vehicle for your private transfer to your hotel.
DAY 2: ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE Departure in the morning, heading east, towards the Indian Ocean. Passing through woods and rice fields then arriving at the famous Peyreiras Reserve after a few hours of driving. There is an unimaginable variety of very rare chameleons, geckos, and lemurs that can be photographed up close.
DAY 3: Awakened by the cries of the Indris or Babakoto, the largest lemur in the world. After breakfast, we begin a discovery in the wet forest of the Analamazaotra National Park to observe the INDRIS and other species of lemurs.
DAY 4: ANDASIBE – ANKANIN’NY NOFY We continue our journey to the east and we are gradually approaching the Indian Ocean. On the road we stop at Antsapanana to admire the tropical fruit market. Then we head to Manambato where we take the motor boat and cross the pangalane canal to arrive at Ankanin’ny nofy, literally “the nest of dreams”. Our hotel is located in a protected area on the ampitabe lake and a few steps from the ocean: Hotel Palmarium where lemurs surround the bungalows.
DAY 5: ANKANIN’NY NOFY RESERVE Visit the reserve to discover the different species of lemurs and endemic plants such as Nepenthes which are carnivorous plants. There is also a night visit to the island of AYE-AYE; another species of nocturnal lemur and endemic to Madagascar.
DAY 6: ANKANIN’NY NOFY – MAHAMBO
We continue to sail towards Tamatave, the big port city of Madagascar. Then going north to reach Mahambo
DAY 7: MAHAMBO – SAINTE MARY Sailing by boat to Sainte Marie.
DAY 8-9-10: SAINTE MARY
DAY 11: airport transfer to TANA
DAY 12: ANTANANARIVO / DAY USE and transfer to Europe
